You’ve already created your SearchRovr account.
Now you need to configure a few settings to make sure the right content is pulling!
1. Select your content types (CPTs)
At this step you need to select which of your WordPress Custom Post Types you want the AI to ingest (index)
2. Select which Taxonomy’s Terms you want to include
If you have a taxonomy for “Fruit” and it has terms like Apple, Banana, Orange – this lets you include those terms in your search index.
Note: By selecting “Fruit” as the taxonomy you aren’t telling it to index any content tagged with a fruit. You are purely telling it to include the Fruit terms in the index as they are tied to the content you’ve already allowed it to index.
3. Include any Post Meta you want index
If you have some Custom Meta Fields (e.g. ACF fields) on your post / pages you can search for those meta fields and have their values also pulled in and associated with their posts.
Content Exclusions
You may optionally exclude
1. Exclude content by a Taxonomy Term
If you have a Taxonomy of “Fruit” you could choose Apple and any posts tagged as Apple would be excluded from being uploaded to your index.
Real life examples might be any post in the “Press Release” category or something tagged as “Internal”, etc.
2. Exclude “Stop Words” and specific content phrases from upload
Some corporate policies may specify that they don’t want their brand name, product names, trademarks, etc. to be uploaded to any AI or external database.
Choosing these stop words doesn’t mean that entire post / page isn’t uploaded, just these specific words within the content.
